Well, Chapter 2 is complete and the next chapter in SoS is underway. Chapter 3 started off with 10 new pages uploaded! Updates have slowed down since the summer, sadly; July and August readers could enjoy page updates almost everyday. The next chapters will be uploaded in chunks, rather than individual pages; I think this is better for manga with ongoing storylines like SoS.

Chapter 3 marks the halfway point for Volume 1. Another important feature of chapter 3 is that its the first chapter in which the scanning/editing phase has caught up to the drawing phase. I had the first two chapters drawn ahead of time, with what I like to call 'buffer pages'; If I was uploading pages halfway through chapter 1, I probably had all of chapter 2 already drawn. But I've let my drawing slide (which may be a good thing because I'm actually better at drawing than the first pages, since they were drawn a LONG time ago), and so I have a lot of drawing to catch up on. This leaves me with two choices: Delay updates of SoS until I have more 'buffer pages' drawn, or... give up that nice safety zone and try blending the editing phase with the drawing phase! Hopefully I can find a compramise that will keep the updates flowing.

As for the story arc of SoS so far...

Chapter 2 showed Kaori falling a sleep and "waking up" in another world, and in the body of the dead sorceres, Lela. As Lela, she is re-introduced to her group of friends, Korin, Lee, Ezra, Lu and Mia. At this point, Kaori still believes that she is just having weird dreams; Lela's friends still don't know exactly what is wrong with her either. This sets up for chapter 3, when the group travels to see one of the great Wizards, Mistress Zia, for answers. We've seen a glimpse of the fantasy world of Aelmor, and will certainly see much more in the coming volumes.

In Kaori's world, a lot is begining to happen; She has accepted Kenji's request to be his girlfriend, along with the beautiful present of a bracelet. Comments to me from readers have lead me to believe that you can already pick up on hints about Kaori's relationship to the brotherly housemate, Takeshi. Chapter 3 will show more about their relationship AND more about Takeshi and Kenji's friendship.

Lastly, I'd just like to thank everyone who visits and revisits the site! I'm so happy that SoS is being so well recieved... there are now about 190 members at OnlineComics.net who consider it a favourite. Thanks to EVERYONE for reading, and I hope you'll all keep reading.

Yes, Chapter 1 is completed with 32 pages, however, that's not even the 'tip of the iceberg' of Volume I. I'm working hard on Chapter 2, which has the same title....since chapter 1 only really showed Lela's 'death' not her 'rebirth'.

I don't want to give anything away though...but it's pretty obvious whats going to happen (atleast if you've read the 'about' page on sos.ztarr.net, or even if you've seen the discription of SoS on Online Comic.net). Lela and Kaori are connected through the two bracelets, which we'll learn more about in later chapters. Volume I pretty much sets up everything for the rest of the volumes. I promise there will be lots of fight scenes as soon as all this intro stuff is out of the way. ^_~

SoS.ZTARR.net has reached over 30 000 hits! Yay! I know that's not a whole lot since there's billions of ppl on the net, but what's extrordinary is that over 20 000 of those hits has happened in only a few days, since SoS was posted on OnlineComics.net. It's really great to also have so many returning visitors, and from all over the world too.

Chapter 1 is now available for complete download in .zip format. The zip includes all the chapter 1 pages, as well as a small html files for viewing them (it has a fancy javascript that fades in and out each page). So if you don't like the servers slow loading times, you might want to just download them all at once (4.88mb total).

Well, I'm off to work on more of Chapter 2 (one page is already done, but i'm not posting it until I have a few more done mwahahah).

Secrets of Sorcerers has been doing very well since it's launch, and has done even better since its posting on OnlineComics.net. I'm glad to say that SoS is now "popular" on onlinecomics.net. Thanks for all the support.

The webmanga still doesn't have an update schedule. I'm not sure if it's ever going to have one...with work and school, I just try to update as much as possible.
